The ARDEX Business Development Team work closely with architects, specifiers and contractors, and through strategic alliances with complementary manufacturers ensure the most suitable specification for your project.

When specifying ARDEX you can rely on our expert team for on-going support at every stage of your project, from rapid response to specification writing, to installation visits and on-site testing.

Our purpose-built training facility enables us to bring all parties involved in an ARDEX specification together, from the client through to the main or sub-contractors, ensuring total confidence in the specification and subsequent on-site application.

Our experienced team have a successful track record in the specification of tiling and flooring solutions, and have worked on a number of the world’s most prestigious projects within the transport, leisure, retail, education and health sectors, including the London Olympic Park Aquatics Centre, The Burj Tower and the recent multi-million pound refurbishment of The Savoy Hotel.

Our Business Development Team

Andrew Reid – National Business Development Manager

Andrew joined ARDEX in December 2008.  He previously worked as an International Business Development Manager, selling technical floorcoverings mainly in the Transport and Military sectors. Andrew oversees the Business Development Team and since joining ARDEX has helped to secure prestigious contracts such as The London 2012 Olympic Pool, The Royal Commonwealth Pool in Edinburgh, and the refurbishment of The Tollcross Aquatic Centre for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.

Adrian Ashby – Business Development Manager PanDOMO

Adrian studied Geology Chemistry at St Andrews, Mineral Exploration and Deposit Evaluation at The Imperial College and the Royal School of Mines, and has also completed a Master’s degree in Advanced Concrete Technology.  Adrian has worked in the construction industry since 2002 and been involved in projects such as the 2012 Olympic Stadium, The Shard, the widening of the M25, and the Channel Tunnel rail link.  He has given many lectures at architectural universities and within ARDEX specialises in PanDOMO, a range of products that create decorative, seamless and very hard wearing finished surfaces for floors, walls and ceilings.

Paul Forrester – Business Development Manager

Paul started his career working in sales, selling to contractors working on the sub-sea pipe lines off Scotland and Norway at the start of the North Sea oil boom.  As his career progressed, Paul moved in to the electro-mechanical engineering industry and was responsible for technical and sales management, working overseas in the Middle East and Africa.  On his return to the UK, Paul joined ARDEX, where he initially focused on the major high street retail refits and the booming new edge of town retail site developments of the late 1990’s.  Paul’s main focus is now on the rail industry, where he looks after major projects including the upgrade and refit program of existing London Underground Stations, National Network Rail infrastructure upgrades and the new Cross Rail scheme.

Adam Willmott – Business Development Manager

Adam started work as an apprentice wall and floor tiler in 1982 and trained at Vauxhall College in London.  Adam has worked on many large projects including the Piccadilly Circus Underground Station, The Queens Banqueting Hall in Whitehall, The Barcelona Olympics, Disneyland Paris, and several projects overseas in Germany, Ireland, Malta and Jersey.

In 1995 Adam started work as a self-employed tile fixer and travelled the UK working on several large scale projects.  In 2000 Adam became a contracts manager and was responsible for a team of 25 tile fixers, managing a range of projects from concepts to estimates and final finishes.  Adam joined ARDEX in 2014 and has already worked on a number of specifications, including the Burlington Arcade, Thames Leisure Centre and a variety of prestigious car dealerships.

Darren Wilcock – Business Development Manager

Darren started his career as a distributor representative before moving on to specifying carpets and vinyl floorcoverings within the education, health, leisure, and retail sectors.  Having worked in the specification market for over 12 years, Darren gained experience working with architects, designers and contractors on projects such as Kings College Hospital, London, Shell International, HSBC Tower, Hong Kong and social housing projects with Affinity Sutton, Moat Housing and Worthing Homes.  Darren joined ARDEX in 2014 to focus on flooring specifications, and has now taken on the role of supporting the PanDOMO range of decorative surfaces for floors, walls and ceilings.

Ian Dennis – Business Development Manager

Ian has vast experience in specifying resilient floorcoverings, across a number of sectors including house building, NHS Trusts and local authorities.  His work at Tarkett gave him experience in leading specifications on projects such as The North Middlesex Hospital and Homes for Haringey.  Throughout his career Ian has developed excellent working relationships in all sectors of the construction industry, and in particular with flooring contractors and architects.

Shaun Howarth – Business Development Manager

With over 28 years’ experience in the flooring industry, Shaun has in-depth experience across all key manufacturing sectors.  Having started his career as a self-employed flooring contractor, running his own business installing all types of flooring in domestic, commercial and industrial projects, Shaun progressed to a Sales and Contracts Manager role and successfully grew a small local business selling flooring and project managing installations.  Shaun went from a sales role to Technical Support Manager for a Rubber Flooring Manufacturer, offering technical support to architects, main contractors, designers, flooring contractors and end-users all around the world.  Shaun is an active member of the CFA Manufacturers Committee, BASA and FERFA, and since joining ARDEX in 2013 has brought a wealth of diverse knowledge to the team.

Tim Absolom – Business Development Manager (UK and International)

Tim was recruited by ARDEX in 2017 to develop business not just in the UK but also Worldwide, using working in ARDEX’s IPSS (International Projects Specification Service) team, helping Architects specify ARDEX products with confidence no matter where in the world they are.  A Floorlayer himself for 15 years, Tim has worked for a number of major subfloor preparation brands in various management roles.

Michael Hoe – Business Development Manager

Michael has more than 16 years experience within the flooring industry and joined ARDEX UK in 2017 as the Northern Business Development Manager. Michael’s key focus is to secure new business and projects to raise the profile of ARDEX products through the delivery of RIBA approved CPD seminars to Architects, Building Surveyors and Designers.

Prior to joining ARDEX UK Michael worked as an Area Sales Manager with an established manufacture gaining 13 years experience within the construction and manufacturing sector specifying products used in projects such as Liverpool Football Club Stadium, the Leeds Arena, Sheffield Children’s Hospital and not to mention numerous PFI projects within the Yorkshire, North West and East Midlands regions.
